Chief William N Bradbury has been with the Union City
Police Department for since 1997, starting as a reserve
officer.  Chief Bradbury became a full time employee in the
summer of 1999.  He was promoted to the position of Patrol
Sergeant in late 2002.  On September 5, 2006, he was
sworn in as the Chief of Police.  He also worked as a
reserve officer for the Winchester Police Department from
December of 1998 to January of 2000.  Chief Bradbury has
held different several positions within the police
department, including the Community Service Technician
(Code Enforcement), Patrol Officer, Senior Field Training
Officer, and the Patrol Sergeant.  He is currently the Team
Commander for the department's Special Entry Tactical
Team, (SETT).  Chief Bradbury is nationally and state
certified as an instructor in several different areas of law
enforcement.  He is a recognized instructor for the Indiana
Law Enforcement Training Board.  He currently is a
specialized instructor in such areas as; Drug Evaluation
and Classification - (DRE Program), Standardized Field
Sobriety Testing, Blunt Impact Munitions, Incapacitants -
(Pepper and Chemical Sprays), Noise & Flash Distraction
Devices, Use of Force, and the TASER.
